In addition to the handwriting style the microfilmed pages that I used had shadows at the binding due to the book not being pressed open fully. Thus some birthdates are not visible. Also, please remember to use your imagination with respect to the spelling of your ancestors' names. Look at P and B, C and K, D and T and so on.
