My mother's uncle was in Farmington for many years(died there in 1960), and they told me I needed a lawyer to get a court order. In fact, my last letter to them was returned, even tho it had the same address as the first letter telling me I needed the lawyer. His only two brothers died many years ago, and my mother and an aunt were the "caretakers" and they have both been gone since 1982 and 1991. The uncle had a wife from whom he had separated but never had children. I have about given up. I am wondering if anyone in the St. Louis Genealogy Society would be of any help.
