I'm guessing that the Elephant House, Primate House and Reptile House were built between 1915 and the Bearpits, which were installed in 1921,22,23. Suppose you might try contacting the Zoo directly. I think I would also consider checking to see what information the Missouri History Museum may have. I know they have a lot of information and artifacts from the 1904 World's Fair and from all time periods in the history of St. Louis.
