    1. Re: [Germans-STL] Bernhard Stevens
    2. I am looking for information concerning Bernhard STEVENS. He married Catherine Theresa PETRY nee REHL in Millstadt, St Clair County, on January 19, 1865. She was a widow with three children: Peter, Theresa and John. Catherine and her children appear in the census of 1860 with her first husband Wilhelm PETRY. They were living in Millstadt, St Clair County, Illinois. Her sons, Peter and John appear in the census of 1880. They were living in DuQuoin, Illinois. I have found no further trace of Catherine or Theresa. I have been unable to find Bernhard STEVENS in any census. The Family should appear in the census of 1870, but I have been unable to find them. I thought they might have moved to St Louis, but did not find them there either. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    3. Good Morning, I found a Bernhard Stevens in the 1870 Census in the 2nd Ward (p. 136) at age 37, b. Prussia, working as a shoemaker. His wife Mina, age 29 and born in Prussia, and son William, age 8/12 and born in MO, are with him. I hope this will help you. Good luck in your search, Kathlyn Goedeker Wieland in St. Louis, MO Goedeker, Wieland, Schott of Apple Creek, MO, Schweninger, Tucci, Sykora, and Sikora -----Original Message----- From: REPKINGRON@aol.com [mailto:REPKINGRON@aol.com] Sent: Sunday, August 22, 2004 6:56 AM To: GERMANS-STLOUIS-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [Germans-STL] Bernhard Stevens I am looking for information concerning Bernhard STEVENS.
