Greetings, Everyone! This is from Kathy Smith, a great St. Louis Public Library librarian. This will be a great opportunity for anyone with German ancestors. If you've never been to the main downtown library, just being in it will be a treat. Enjoy! Hey it's free! The class is "Home is Where You Hang Your Lederhosen: Researching Your Midwestern Germans Here and Abroad" with special guests Curt Witcher, director of Allen County Public Library's genealogy department, and Lloyd Bockstruck, director of Dallas Public Library's genealogy department. They will be focusing on resources for research here and in Germany. The class is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 28, from 10AM - 1PM. It is free and open to the public. Parking is also free (what a deal!). It will take place at St. Louis Public Library's Central Branch, 1301 Olive Street. Registration is strongly suggested. Please call (314) 539-0385 or email me at mailto:ksmith@slpl.lib.mo.us to register or for further information. This is a great opportunity to learn from the experts! Hope to see you there!
