Hello, Listers, I was away for a few days and am surprised at the number of replies to my "beautiful downtown Affton" remark. I was only kidding when I signed that way! Our "downtown" runs one block wide and from the city limits to abt the Rock Hill/Tesson Ferry intersection which is 2 miles at the most. Nothing "big" in the area, just "mom & pop" stores. BTW, our Affton Days Parade will be held Sept. 18 along Gravois from Heege to Mackenzie Rd. The day's activities will be at the Affton Community Center at Reavis and Mackenzie Rds. Anyone in the area is welcome to come join in the fun!!! Bill, your mention of Parks Air College brought back memories. My uncle lived on 157 Upper Cahokia Rd. during the 40's. My cousins and I used to take walks in that area. Small world, isn't it! Lorraine
