My G gfather WILLIAM FREDERICH UMBACH (b. Apr 4 1846) was a barber who came from Wittenberg,Germany to St. Louis......He married ELIZABETH THERESA WAX Feb 27, 1866......He also went by the name of WILLIAM BAUERLEIN--think his mother might have re-married at some point and took his step-father's last name--and later went back to UMBACH...
