Mimi, How VERY kind of you. I've been trying for years to get a lead on my father's career in Vaudeville. Recently,I found an old magazine article he'd cut out and on which made a notation. ( The article was about the old "St Louis Theater" then being taken over by the St Louis Symphony in 1968)...Dad wrote "I played at this theater the WEEK it opened in 1925, Nov?". I contacted the Symphony and they told me that the old theater opened Nov 25, 1925. They had an ad for the opening DAY, listing all of the performers...my father was not amongst them. I'm hoping that the ads might have been printed in the newspaper for the rest of that week...Nov 26-Dec1.
