    3. Pius D Waldman piuswaldman@lvnworth.com Most of the Heisler (Heissel or Heyzler) families came from the same family at Neewiller Bas-Rhin area of France. The others came from the same area and are probably collateral cousins. Here is a listing of the original families. Should anyone have information or questions our group information would be very helpful. Those that migrated to Kansas the Dakotas or Canada would be descendents from these original migrants. Information on Heissel Heyzler Heisler families from the Bas-Rhin region of France that migrated to Kutschurgan and Liebental districts of South Russia. Five siblings along with their mother left to Russia. Going to Baden Household 47 Anton Heissler married Theresia with known sons Peter and Anton from the 1852 census. Marie-Anne Heissel married to Peter Wingerter went to Elsass household 45 along with her mother Anna Heissel (Stumpp has mistake says Geisler). 1852 census lists sons Peter and widow of either Kasmir or Anton. Georg Heisler married to Anne-Marie Burgard migrated to Franzfeld Household No 1.Sons Valentin and Johannes had families. Catherine Heissel married to Franz Fix went to Franzfeld Household 18 From a related family Franz Heissel married to Anne-Marie Heid went to Franzfeld Household 13. Son Nikolaus married to Magdalena had sons Jakob married to Katharina Bischoff Joseph married to Juliana Klotz. Daughter Dorothee married to Merdian. Another family Jakob Heissel originally went to Josephstal married to Marie-Anne Kah. Som Michael listed in Stumpp book. Household 5 at Franzfeld had a Peter Heisseler from Neewiller married to a Barbara with sons Johannes Christian and Wilhelm.
