March 17, 2004 Greeley, Colorado Tribune Lucille Eckhardt Lucille Eckhardt, 69, of Greeley died Saturday, March 13, at the Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado inpatient unit in Greeley. She was born Dec. 3, 1934, in Hiner, Utah, to Joseph and Barbara (Budinski) Martinko. On June 14, 1958, she married Kenneth Eckhardt in Denver. Mrs. Eckhardt was raised in Florence and moved to Greeley in 1958. She graduated from Florence High School and earned a teaching degree from Colorado State College of Education, now the University of Northern Colorado. She was employed by Aims Community College in the business department for 25 years until her retirement in 1994. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Greeley. She was in Delta Zeta sorority and a member of other educational organizations. Survivors are her husband, Kenneth of Greeley; a daughter, Laura Stoffel and husband Eric of Greeley; two sons, Kevin Eckhardt and wife Stacey and Kenton Eckhardt, all of Arvada; two brothers, John Martinko and wife Gloria of Cañon City and George Martinko of Westminster; and six grandchildren, Adam, Abigail, Shayne, Breanna, Bryn and Severtson. Her parents, two sisters and four brothers are deceased.
