After he was discharged, Arnie returned to North Dakota and farmed in Kidder and Logan counties. He moved to Jamestown in 1971 where he worked for area farmers. Arnie was united in marriage to Margo Ternes on May 25, 1974 in Jamestown. They resided in Jamestown until his death. Arnie is survived by his wife, Margo, of Jamestown' one daughter, Cheryl (Myron) Rosebrook, Tyler, TX; three stepchildren, Don (Helen) Ternes, CotoDe Caca, CA, Shelly (Steven) Wickham, Mt. Pleasant, IA and Rita (Jeff) Collen, Cumberland, MD; three grandchildren' four great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; two brothers, Fred Gerber, Eldridge and Herman Gerber, Fargo, and one sister, Sally Rose, CA.
