Hello , Here is what I have on My Mittelstadt Wilhelm Mittelstaedt( Mittelstadt) born April 17,1857 in (Dunajewitz or Dunageroik?? I dont know where this is ) He was written about in the Wishek Golden Jubilee, it mentions more about what he did for a living ETC. Wilhelm married Katharina Pleinis in Neudorf Russia had 5 children Adolf , Johannes , Katharina these 3 I have not traced fully YET, I even suspect some may have died as children or they were old enough to have their own families( I have their birth dates) But ,Ernestine ( My Gr. Grandmother) & William J. Mittelstadt these 2 came over with their Parents in 1905. According to Ellis Records they were meeting a brother of Wilhelms named Johan Mittelstaedt in Wishek, ND. I found a John Mittelstadt in Mcintosh, ND. The same County that My Wilhelm applied for Naturalization in 1905 but John had applied a couple of years earlier. I suspect that My Wilhelm Mittelstadt had a 3rd brother too named Friedrick Mittelstadt but I have not been able to confirm this Yet. I was given a name birth date for the Father of Wilhelm & Johan Mittelstaedt but I cannot confirm it as correct. His name is said to have been Friedrich William Mittelstaedt born in Prussia in 1819 in an area called Samoschin??? I may have incorrect spelling. I have other Surnames connected to My Mittelstaedt Schwartz, Pleinus, Haenger, Reuther, Mckinnon ,Rowan. Let Me know if You think We connect. I have Mittelstaedt's as well (my husband's side) I have very little information on them. My Mittelstaedts's came from the Tarutino area of South Russia and settled in North Dakota.
