Ljiljana, "Metzinger" would indicate that the origin, way, way, back would most likely have been froma town called METZINGEN... There are many towns in Germany that end in "INGEN"... and i believe there is a METZingen as well... I will look that up... The first place i would look would be Baden-Württemberg as it has so many places with "-INGEN" Other than that i can be of little help, as i have rarely come across the name Metzinger in the GermanRussian records... < so far anyway > I hope this helps some..
