This obit was in the "Lansing State Journal" Lansing, Michigan, January 18, 2004 Pfeifle, Hulda (Miller) Mason, MI Passed away, Saturday, January 17, 2004, at the age of 80. Hulda was born in Lehr, North Dakota on December 24, 1923, the daughter of Adam and Elizabeth (Becker) Miller. She grew up in the Wishek, North Dakota area where she later met and married her husband, Guenther Pfeifle on November 17, 1944. They moved to the Lansing, Michigan area in 1951. She loved cooking, baking, gardening and collecting ceramic roosters and chickens. Hulda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Guenther in 1985 and one son, Jim Pfeifle. She is survived by one son, Jeff Pfeifle; four sisters: Martha Denning of Seattle, Washington, Adeline (Albert) Iszler of Ellendale, North Dakota, Gladys (Elmer) Bauer of Lansing, Michigan and June (Milton) Schauer of Ashley, North Dakota; two brothers: John Miller of Ashley, North Dakota and Eldo (Caroline) Miller of Ashley, North Dakota. Also surviving are several nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2004, 11:00 a.m., at the Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Home, Lansing Chapel, with Rev. Dr. William Barber officiating. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memory Garden Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends, Tuesday, January 20, 2004, 4:00-7:00 p.m., at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association in memory of Hulda.
