Unfortunately a lot of records have been transcribed with Neuberg instead of Neuburg as the placename. The placename is actually Neuburg, and to the best of my knowledge there was no Neuberg in S.Russia. Nor for that matter was there a Neuberg in Wuerttemberg. There was only one in Hessen. So please be sure to record the correct name in any derivative work. Below is a list of the errors on the St.Pete online files; rest assured there are plenty of other places where this placename has been recorded incorrectly. And where it has been propagated in error.
