    3. Curt, In 1872/73 many German colonists from Prischib, Hochstädt, Eugenfeld and Alt-Schwedendorf founded small colonies and chutors in the county of Elisabethgrad (Kirowograd). The settlers having had paid 18-20 Rubel per Desjatine soon became wealthy and bought larger estates in the East part of the county. In 1890 the prices had increased tenfold. A new emigration wave begun towards Orenburg and the Don area where the emigrants could gain from the sale proceeds of their estates a much larger land area. There was another GERBERSHAGEN in Neu-Danzig: Heinrich G. married 1870 with Charlotte MUELLER. Their first child Dorothea was born 25.10.1871 in Neu-Danzig. Then there is a gap. Six more children: Heinrich *01.01.1874 in Neunassau, bapt. in Elisabethgrad. Then they lived in Elisabethgrad. Jakob, *23.09.1875, Maria * 20.02.1878, Katharina *29.02.1780. Then the moved to Woronino. Friedrich *28.01.1882 and Theodor *08.02.1884. And finally Magdalena/Helene GERBERSHAGEN, daughter of Georg G. and Christina EBERT from Neunassau married 06.02.1848 in Hochstädt the potter Jakob LITTIG (also Luettig or Littich). Their first child Jacob was born 05.12.1870 in Neu-Danzig and baptized in Elisabethgrad. I've not | extracted those family lines, primarily because the record also indicates many of | those families disappear from the record after a few years and I have no idea | if they may have moved on to another village or stopped having children. | I will keep your inquiry and if I ever should find something pertaining to | the Gerbershagen line, will contact you. | Regards, | Curt.
