    3. Duane, Well i will dig up what i can; will have to go back to an Exel file i was editting ... With names it's like "triggers", i have some names associated with certain people ... so when i see something "unusual" i say "HEY!" and e-mail it off. And as U likely know, i LOVE all those different spellings! Are the Stapplers U found in Saskatchewan? Or was it Bow Island in Alberta? *** Likely U have alraeady come across: Bessarabian Village Birth Records, 185x Stabler, Johann Jacob 28 Mar 1851 Beresina Georg Stabler && Sperle, Eva 1883181/1 288 24 Stappler, Nicholaus 3 Aug 1853 Beresina Georg && Sperle, Eva 1883188/1 312 47 from Strassburg When i first saw that one, i thought it a "scribe" variant... didn't realize it actually "survives"... Turns out the EWZ records are full of Stapplers; they are catholics as far as i can tell. There is a good chance that the "from Strassburg" above also indicates same. I have other Stappler stuff if U are interested. Jay, No, I've not seen that but I've recently made contact with a Stappler family in Canada. The information would be of interest.
