Leona Link, 71, of Lodi died Oct. 13 in a local hospital following an extended illness. She was born Leona Wiederrich on March 24, 1930, in Zap, N.D. Mrs. Link and her family operated the Link City Café restaurant in Beulah, N.D. before coming to Lodi in 1963. She married Walter Link on Aug. 24, 1947, in Zap, N.D. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Walter of Lodi; daughter, Vera Nelson of Lodi; sons, Jerome Link of Copperopolis, Steve Link and Larry Link both of Reno, Nev., and Randy Link of Georgia; sisters, Viola Breitling Minn., and Gertie Heidinger of Lodi; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Duane Link in 2000; brother, Arthur Wiederrich; granddaughter, Melissa Link; and a great-grandson.
