Elmer "Pug" Wageman, 80, of Victor, died Sept. 23 in a Stockton hospital. He was born on June 19, 1921, in Lodi and lived in Victor his whole life. Mr. Wageman served in the United States Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater of Operations. He retired this year after working at Harvey Berndt Farms for 44 years. He enjoyed working on tractors and when he was younger he enjoyed hunting. He is survived by his sisters, Evelyn Geigle of Lodi, Violet Miller of Ft. Bragg, Elaine Haverly of Washington, Joyce Ratola of Ryde; step-daughters, Patty Rathjen of Lodi, Sheila Gramm of Lodi; seven step-grandchildren, 10 step-great-grandchildren, and one step-great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Gertrude Wagemen in 1990; and sister, Betty Miller. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Lodi Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Perry Kallis of Temple Baptist Church officiating.
