Aberdeen - David Schaible, 92, of 1224 S. High St. died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2001, at the Bethesda Home of Aberdeen. David Schaible was born Dec. 22, 1908, to Johann and Magdalene (Schmitt) Schaible in McPherson County. This is the area where he grew up and attended school. He married Bertha Vossler on May 25, 1930, in Eureka. They lived there until 1942, when they moved to Aberdeen. He worked at a bakery where he delivered baked goods and later worked for the South Dakota Highway Department for 17 years before he retired. He moved to the Bethesda Home of Aberdeen May 5, 2000. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Aberdeen and was a past member of the Moose Lodge. Survivors include two sons, Emanuel Schaible of Moses Lake, Wash., and Harley Schaible of Austin, Texas; one daughter, Shirley Boschee of Aberdeen; one brother, Adolph Schaible of Leola; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-greatgranddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife, two sons, nine brothers, one sister and one grandson.
