Cory James Miller, 28, formerly of Libby, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born on Aug. 7, 1973, in Kalispell, to Michael and Geri Wanzek Miller. Cory grew up in Libby, where he attended school and was active in track, wrestling and football. He graduated from Libby High School in 1992. He attended Jamestown College and Montana State University before attending Culinary Arts School in Missoula, graduating in 1998 with a degree in culinary arts. God gifted Cory with an incredible free spirit for the outdoors. His work took him to beautiful places including Yellowstone Park, Big Sky, Jackson Hole and the Red Rocks of Nevada where he enjoyed running, downhill skiing, rock climbing, biking, fishing and camping. Cory touched the hearts and enriched the lives of many. He made friends easily, attracting them with his generous spirit and beautiful smile. He lived life to the fullest and will be missed more than words can describe. "Our beloved son, brother and friend." Survivors include his parents Michael and Geri Miller, Libby; brothers Chad Miller and his wife Lisa, Minneapolis; Chris Miller, Honolulu, and Ryan Miller, Missoula, and his grandmother Irene Miller, Jamestown, N.D.. Cory is also survived by uncles James Miller and his wife Carmen, Libby; Thomas Miller and his wife Laurel, Libby; Marvin Miller and his wife Mary Jo, Billings; Mark Miller and his wife Kathy, Jamestown; Jim Wanzek and his wife Lee Ann, Buckley, Wash., Todd Wanzek and his wife Gina, Prescott, Ariz., and Kelly Wanzek, Milton, Wash.; aunts Bobbie Agnew, Bismarck, N.D., Susan Beard and her husband Keith, Moffit, N.D., Mary Jensen and her husband Bill, Billings, Linda Vigen and her husband Wendell, Killdeer, N.D., Wendy Faulkner and her husband Pat, Jamestown, Cindy Schulz, Price, Utah; Dione Allen and her husband Mike, Jamestown, Jayme Kautzman and her husband Dan, Jamestown, and Jolene Bjugstad and her husband Fred, Jamestown, numerous cousins and special friend Lori Zippo, Las Vegas. Cory was preceded in death by grandparents James and Edna Wanzek and Art Miller, and cousin Andy Yogerst. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m. at Nelson & Vial Funeral Home chapel with Rosary to follow at 7 p.m. at the chapel.
