Ida was born November 1906 the daughter of Israel and Susanna (Moser) Hildenbrand of Wishek, North Dakota. She was raised and educated in the Wishek area. She married August Paul Stevahn November 1930, at Wishek. They farmed south of Baldwin until 1958, when they moved to Bismarck, North Dakota. She was active in Zion Lutheran Church and at the Burleigh County Senior Citizens Center. She and August had 5 children; all daughters. Ida was 85 at the time of her death, she died at the Bismarck Baptist Home on May 19, 1992. Visitation will begin at noon Friday at Boelter Funeral Home, Bismarck, and will continue at the church one hour before services. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Ted (Alice) Williams, Marion, Iowa, Mrs. Robert (Agnes) Appleman, Philadelphia, Mrs. Norman (Doris) George, Billings, Montana, and Carol Stevahn, Great Falls, Montana, one sister-in-law, Mrs. Charles (Christine) Hildenbrand, Bismarck, 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
