    3. Bertha Schopp, 94, of Lodi, died Oct. 20 in a local convalescent hospital of natural causes. She was born Bertha Rau on Dec. 21, 1906, in Linton, N.D. where she was raised and attended schools. Mrs. Schopp married Edward Bossert in 1924. The couple moved to Lodi in 1936. She married Pete L. Schopp in 1948. The couple resided in Lodi. She was employed seasonally by Stokely Van Kamp. She was also employed with Sprous Ritz and Felton's Topaz as a waitress for many years. She also worked in catering. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church, past member of First Baptist Church and the Missionary Society. She was also a member of the Ladies Society. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, knitting, embroidery and missionary work. She is survived by her daughter, Verlene Haas of South Lake Tahoe; son, Don Bossert of Palm Springs; brothers, Ben Rau of Fargo, N.D. and Alton Rau of Litton, N.D.; sister, Martha Haugen of Fargo, N.D.; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Bossert in 1947; second husband, Pete L. Schopp in 1982; sons, Ray Bossert, Allen Bossert, and Bill Schopp; sister, Alvina Martin; and brother, Ernest Rau.
