You should know in advance if you receive the current Badtrans virus because the From: email address is prefixed by an underscore. >From: "John Smith" <[email protected]> >To: [email protected] Thus, the Badtrans virus is relatively easy to filter, as long as you have not opened or previewed the message. I have read several Badtrans e-mails in a plain text reader. They consist of headers, which we use to trace where the message came from, and fake sound or image attachments. Anyway, if you read your email with an old fashioned plain text reader, don't worry about being harmed by this virus, as long as you do not decode the attachment.
