The original article appeared in "Volk auf dem Weg" published by the Landsmannschaft der Deutschen aus Russland, Stuttgart, Germany. The article covers the time period of 1950 to 2000 including the eras of Stalin, Krushchev, Brezhnev, Andropov, Chernenko, Gorbachev, Yeltsin, and Putin.
