She was 85. : : She was born May 29, 1916, in Milner, Colo., to Herman Frederick and Mary : Grace Bauer. She was the first baby born in Milner, a fact of which she was : very proud. : : She moved to Longmont with her family in 1920. She then relocated to : Steamboat Springs in 1924, where she lived until 1928, before returning to : Longmont. : : She was employed doing general housework, cleaning and ironing for people in : Longmont. : : She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the VFW Post 2601 : Auxiliary for many years. : : She was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Ellen Bauer. : : She is survived by four brothers, Robert W. Bauer of Longmont, Grant A. : Bauer and his wife Alice of Loveland, Ronald F.
