    3. Funeral services for Hulda Werth, 84, Wishek, formerly of Lehr, were held on Monday, Sept. 24, 2001, at Lehr Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She died Sept. 21 at the Wishek Home for the Aged. Hulda was born July 15, 1917 on the family farm, 3 1/2 miles west of Wishek, the daughter of Philip and Katherina (Schwindt) Rueb. She grew up on the family farm and received her elementary education in rural McIntosh County schools. Hulda married Julius Werth on Sept. 25, 1939 in Leola, S.D. They lived and farmed 10 miles southwest of Lehr for three years. In 1942, they moved to a farm 5 miles east of Lehr. In 1966, they retired from farming and moved into Lehr. Hulda worked at Grenz General Store and also sewed clothes for others. Mr. Werth died on April 19, 1974. Hulda continued to live in their home in Lehr until October 1999, when she became a resident of the Wishek Home for the Aged. Hulda was a member of the Lehr Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Survivors include a son, Willard (Lenora) Werth of Hermosa, S.D.; two daughters, Lilia (Eldon) LaFave of Pierre, S.D., and Lorraine (Roger) Foerderer of Medina; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lyinde (Lois) Rueb of Belgrade, Mont. Hulda was preceded in death by her husband, Julius; her parents; a granddaughter, Michele LaFave; seven brothers and four sisters. Pallbearers were Corey LaFave, Gerald Foerderer, Joshua Foerderer, Steve Sund and LeRoy Wanner. Interment in the Lehr City Cemetery.
