Fort Morgan Times Fort Morgan, Colorado 10-15-01 Ruth Peterson dies at 93 Monday, October 15, 2001 - Ruth K. Peterson, 93, of Brush died Friday at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. Mrs. Peterson was born Jan. 25, 1908, in Weldona to John and Alice Kammerer. She was a graduate of Brush High School in 1926 and graduated from Grand Island Business College in 1927. On Feb. 24, 1929, in Brush she married Nels Peterson. She worked as an accountant for Brush Motor Sales from 1948 to 1953, then worked as an accountant for Arapahoe Pipe Line Co. until her retirement in 1969. She worked for the Red Cross during World War II and was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brush. Survivors include one daughter, Dorothe Mae Lorensen of Brush; one sister, Elizabeth Lindell of Brush; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nels, and her parents. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 603 Custer St. in Brush. Interment will follow at the Brush Memorial Cemetery. The Heer & Jolliffe Mortuaries of Brush and Fort Morgan are in charge of the arrangements.
