    3. Name Koepplin, Hulda Age 91 City Flasher State ND FLASHER -- Hulda Koepplin, 91, Flasher, died Aug. 2, 2002, at the New Salem care center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. MDT Wednesday at American Lutheran Church, Flasher, with the Rev. Dale Carmen officiating. Burial will be in Fairhill Cemetery, Flasher. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, and will continue one hour before services at the church. Hulda Hannes was born Nov. 20, 1910, at Pretty Rock, the daughter of Joe and Wilhelmina (Stumm) Hannes. She attended rural school in the Elgin area, and married Henry Koepplin in November 1930. They farmed south of Elgin, then five miles west of Flasher until 1954, when they moved to Flasher. She worked for many years at the school in Flasher. A strong and independent woman, Hulda loved to cook and bake. Many enjoyed the wonderful dishes she prepared. After Henry's death on Feb. 11, 1986, she continued to live in her own home until 2000, when she became a resident of Elm Crest Nursing Home in New Salem. She is survived by her daughters, Janice Henseler, Tooele, Utah, and Wanda Anderson and her husband Chuck, Huron, S.D.; her son, Clarence Randolph, Dillon, Mont.; her daughter-in-law, Ruth Koepplin, Bremerton, Wash.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Ruth Schriock, Minot, and Freda Huber, Bismarck. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry; her son, Marvin; her son-in-law, Chester Henseler; two sisters; and five brothers.
