I just learned that part of my LANDSIEDEL family moved to Argentina from Johannestal, South Russia. I have never done any research in that area before. Does anyone on the list have any experience? I have a family photo of him, possibly taken in the 1940's. This is what I know: Name: Andreas/Andrew Landsiedel DOB: 25 Aug 1884 in Johannestal, Cherson, Odessa, South Russia Parents: Christian Landsiedel (b. 16 May 1863) and Maria Kezan (born about 1855) Maria was first married to Christian's older half brother Johannes - he died in 1881. I don't have dates of death for Christian and Maria..is it possible they moved to South America with their son Andreas? The name could possible be spelled LANDSEADAL as well, as other family members that went onto Colorado and California use this spelling. Kathy in Michigan
