After a couple of months of searching, I have discovered that my gg grandmother's name was Sophia Ochsner. She was married to Christian Kast. Their children were born between 1884 and 1898, she died at the age of 35 or 38 sometime before 1906. She was probably a close relative of Katherine Ochsner Griess, who emigrated to Nebraska in 1873 and traveled to Odessa (with her daughter Frieda) in 1909 to bring five of Sophia's six children to America. I can find no trace of a Sophia Ochsner married to a Christian Kast anywhere in the pixel site. Nor can I find a Sophia Ochsner that would fit the approximate birth or death dates. I would appreciate any clues or hints that can be sent my way.
