    3. The major names that I am researching for my husband are Strobel and Breitling. According to "The Emigration from Germany to Russia in the Years 1763 to 1862" by Karl Stumpp, Mathäus Breitling was born in 1801 in Böblingen-Württenberg. The notation for Johnan(nes) Jakob Strobel is more confusing for me. It says - Strobel, Joh. Jakob, aus: Leidringen/Balingen ü Po-Wü; Martin, * 1812 (any help in translating this notation will be appreciated). According to Mr. Stumpp, both Breitling and Strobel men were part of the village of Beresina. Both Breitlings and Strobels immigrated to North Dakota and then Montana. Claudia Cox Strobel
