    3. Loveland Newspaper Loveland, Colorado 09-16-01 Mary Sara Vollenweider, 90, of Loveland, was called to her heavenly home Sept. 15, 2001, at Sierra Vista Health Care Center. She was born Sept. 2, 1911, near Huron, S.D., to Jacob and Lillian Stambaugh Zeigler. She married Holland "Holly" Vollenweider Dec. 27, 1932, at her parents' home near Huron. She was a country school teacher in South Dakota at the age of 18 and taught for three years. She enjoyed being a homemaker and doing volunteer work at the church wherever they lived. She liked to help others make their lives more meaningful by her positive attitude and inspiration. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Holly. Her family brought her much joy, and she loved the special times with her grandchildren and their families. Mary was very creative and liked writing poetry about God's creations. Mary's love of music was an inspiration to many, and she said many times, "What would the world be like without music?" Holly and Mary lived in South Dakota, Lawton and Moville, Iowa, and San Jose, Calif., before moving to Loveland in 1978. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Loveland and also had the loving support of her daughter's church family at Zion Lutheran. She is survived by her four daughters, Marian Graham and husband Russ of Kingsley, Iowa, Phyllis Zimmerman and husband Ron of Loveland, Mavis Butler of Cameron Park, Calif., and Arlene Britton and husband Bob of Brussels, Belgium; 10 grandchildren, Joan Koskovich and husband Kelly of Kingsley, Douglas Zimmerman and wife Connie of Loveland, Brian Zimmerman and wife Kris of Loveland, Laurie Galvan and husband Jose of Palisade, Carole Walls and husband Chuck of Elizabethtown, Ky., Brenda Butler of Citrus Heights, Calif., James Britton and friend Jane Deardon of Newport, N.H., Gwendolyn Fazio of Sunapee, N.H., Steven "Randy" Britton of Enfield, N.H., and Kimberly Osburn Britton and husband Tim of Urbana, Ill.; 10 great-grandchildren, Luke Graham, Nathan, Chase and Ian Koskovich, Colton and Ciera Zimmerman, Micah Galvan, Danielle Walls and Nicole and Alison Fazio; two sisters-in-law, Catherine Voas of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and Shirley Showell of Omaha, Neb.; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband Holly Vollenweider Aug. 4, 1981; father Jacob Zeigler in October 1954; mother Lillian Zeigler in July 1961; three brothers, Earl Zeigler in September 1942, Charles Zeigler December 1955, and Ralph Zeigler Dec. 10, 1987; two sisters, Ruth Ziegler March 27, 1998, and Margaret McGaughey Jan. 6, 2000; and one grandson, Allan Graham, July 1, 1988. Visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. today at Allnutt-Hunter Chapel, with family present 6-8 p.m. A prayer and memory service will be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be held 9-11 a.m. Wednesday. A celebration of Mary's life will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church at Sixth and Grant. Interment will be at Loveland Burial Park. Memorial gifts may be made to the music ministry of First United Methodist Church or Zion Lutheran Church or The Loveland Choral Society in care of Allnutt-Hunter Chapel, 2100 N. Lincoln Ave., Loveland, 80538.
