Greeley Tribune Greeley, Colorado 12-15-01 Rolland Meintzer Rolland Meintzer, 84, of Johnstown died Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado inpatient unit. He was born Aug. 20, 1917, in Loveland to Jacob and Elizabeth (Hehn) Meintzer. On Jan. 7, 1942, he married Mollie Kerbel in Kimball, Neb. She died Jan. 19, 1999. Mr. Meintzer served during World War II in the Army. Formerly of Loveland and Galeton, he had lived in Johnstown since 1956. He attended Loveland country school. He managed Loomix Liquid Feed Inc. in Johnstown from 1972-88. He farmed in the Loveland-Greeley-Johnstown area for more than 30 years. A former member of the Johnstown Rotary, Mr. Meintzer was a member of the Johnstown/Milliken Chamber of Commerce, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2585 and St. Johns United Church of Christ. He loved woodworking, fishing, gardening and time with his grandchildren. Survivors are two daughters, Carol Jordanger and Patty Weber, both of Johnstown; a son, Kenneth Meintzer of Johnstown; a sister, Margaret Martin of Greeley; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. His parents, a sister, six brothers and a son-in-law, Norman Jordanger, are deceased. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Johns United Church of Christ, Greeley. Interment will be in Johnstown Cemetery. Friends may visit from 1-8 p.m. Sunday at the Allnutt Funeral Service Macy Chapel.
