Greeley Tribune Greeley, Colorado 12-27-01 Hattie Leffler Hattie Leffler, 97, of Greeley died Sunday, Dec. 23, at the Haxtun Hospital District and Nursing Home, Haxtun. She was born May 1, 1904, in Frank, Russia, to Jacob and Katherine Margaret (Fuss) Eisenach. On Sept. 2, 1931, she married Carl Leffler in Gering, Neb. He died Feb. 23, 1980. Mrs. Leffler came to New York with her parents as a small child. They moved to McCook, Neb., to live with an uncle. The family later moved to Fruita, where they lived for seven years. They later moved to the Atwood area, where her family farmed. They moved to Greeley in 1926. After their marriage, she and her husband lived in Greeley and later moved to the Eaton area, where they farmed. They later farmed in the Farmers Spur area. They lived south of Seeley Lake from 1949-92. A member of St. Pauls Congregational Church, Mrs. Leffler was a member of the Ladies Aid and taught Sunday school. She and her husband were members of the Farmers Union. Survivors are two daughters, Mary Kissler of Greeley and Kathryn Debus of Haxtun; a brother, John Eisenach of Platteville; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. A son, Maurice Leffler; a daughter, Louise Amen; two sisters, Marie Fiebig and Ida Hergert; and two brothers, Jacob and Albert Eisenach, are deceased. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul s Congregational Church, 1525 43rd Ave., Greeley. Interment will be in Linn Grove Cemetery.
