For those who are struggling in the BadTrans virus arena; i have just located a FREE FIX from Symantec... the [VIRUS] [email protected] Removal Tool !!! : Although my computer was not infected, this tool, after scanning ALL my 60,000+ files ( took abt 1/2 hour... ), removed 5 (FIVE!) BadTrans.b infected files...., which were files i had saved for testing purposes. UNFORTUNATELY i was never asked if i wanted to delete the infested files...; but their removal is not a great disaster! What this cleaner does not do is to remove infected attachments in saved e-mail messages!!! What i can not confirm, is that this tool does also clean an infected machine! But perhaps someone in that situation will try this , and provide me with a report... Here is where U can get this tool! 1.
