    1. [GERmanRUSsian] CD "Russians to America (1850-1896)"
    2. Dear Listers, I just got a flyer with the specials that Heritage Quest is offering for sale. One of them is a CD set that contains "Russians to America 1850 to 1896". It is a serachable collecion of passenger list for about 430,000 individuals passenger arrivals from Russia prior to 1896. It is supposed to contain the following. It is supposed to contain all person coming from Russia. 1. Date and port of Arrival 2. Ship's name 3. Last residence 4. Name, gender and age of passenger 5. County of Origin 6. Final Destination 7. Occupation Has anyone ever heard of this collection? I was thinking about buying and seeing how useful it would be. Although as luck would have it won't contain any of my German-Russians. They all came after the 1902. Gene Jenkins Selah, WA.

    3. Robertl, If your ancestors came after 1902 maybe they are on the Ellis Island site. Use this site to find them when the names are misspelled. It took me a while but I found my Penner family here but it was spelled Pamer http://home.pacbell.net/spmorse/ellis/ellis.html These other sites may help also.
