Miriam, thanx for your note. Please note that I have not suggested that the names are "interchangable". Actually the name that was shown was HuMMan, not HumaNN... and yes indeed HUMANN is a valid familyname in Bessarabia. However Andreas born in 1793,,,, was a HUMMEL and neither a Humman (typo?) nor a Humann (mistake?) I should like to note that it does pay to pay close attention to detail, which unfortunately isn't always the case or evident in/from the databases that we have access to. Consequently, as users of same we need to be fully aware of the "foibles" and "fables" of the data that we work with. It also helps of course to know the "lay of the land"... which is why i pointed out that there were no <male> HUMANNs in Kloestitz... At least not in the data that is available todate.
