Hello: I'm looking for information for FUST family, from Simferopol, Crimea My grandfather was Eduard Augustovich FUST. His father, obviously was August FUST. He married Sinaida Zinovyevna KURGANOVa in 1915, in Simferopol. They had 2 daughters. My mother - Tamara Eduardovna FUST, born 1918. Her sister - Lydia E FUST, born 1923. Both in Simferopol. Eduard was arrested & disappeared in 1934. Tamara & Lydia left the Crimea during WWII, and ended up in Germany. In the 1950's they moved to the USA with their families. Any info will be appreciated. Researching the following surnames who all came from South Russia area of Odessa, Grossliebental and Bessarabia after 1889 to South Dakota, North Dakota and Minnesota. Blinderman Feinstein Pleno Gandel Thanks, Irene
The major names that I am researching for my husband are Strobel and Breitling. According to "The Emigration from Germany to Russia in the Years 1763 to 1862" by Karl Stumpp, Mathäus Breitling was born in 1801 in Böblingen-Württenberg. The notation for Johnan(nes) Jakob Strobel is more confusing for me. It says - Strobel, Joh. Jakob, aus: Leidringen/Balingen ü Po-Wü; Martin, * 1812 (any help in translating this notation will be appreciated). According to Mr. Stumpp, both Breitling and Strobel men were part of the village of Beresina. Both Breitlings and Strobels immigrated to North Dakota and then Montana. Claudia Cox Strobel
