    3. Does anyone out there have Pleve charts of Weinbergers or Schulzs from Schulz, Russia? Marie Elizabeth Schulz was born 8 Nov 1886, in Schulz, Russia. Her parents are John Christian Schulz and JoAnna Weinberger. They stayed in Russia. In addition to Marie Elizabeth, they had Katherine Schulz who came to US & married Henry Weinberger in 1911 in Sheboygan. After the mother died in Russia, the father married Sophie Wolf and had David Schulz. David married Dorothy Sessler in Russia. Marie Elizabeth & John Weber were married 17 Feb 1910, in Russia & came to US in 1912 straight to Sheboygan, WI. Thanks for any help. I don't think they came directly to Schulz from Germany in 1766. I also have the census records for Schulz & Schafer & could get census records for any other villages if needed. Judy Kaland

    1. [GERmanRUSsian] Wollbaum research interest of Russian German descent
    2. Owen & Judy Walbaum via
    3. Hello all, My name is Owen Walbaum; I am researching the Wollbaum/Wolbaum/Wohlbaum family from Muenchen and Rastadt south Russia who emigrated to canada in the late 1800's. I was born in small town Saskatchewan (Montmartre), I live in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, now. I am a descendent of the above Wolbaum's. My mother is also a Russian German descendent; her maiden name is Ripplinger and her family emigrated to Canada from the Elssas south Russia area. (I guess that makes me a true Russian German). I am also interested in researching Ripplinger's. Some surnames relating to my research: Wollbaum, Fuchs, Weinberger, Bolinger/Bullinger, Deutsch, Koch, Matrie, Hecker, Bast, Kehler, ( possibly Berger, Rau), etc. I am always looking for info on these and other family members....and am willing to share what I know!!!! thanks, Owen Walbaum

    2. Stan B
    3. Title:Looking for German ancestors: Birkle's (Birkel) and Olenberger's (Oelenberger)Summary:German AncestorsContent:Greetings One and all, For 2 yrs I've been searching for Ancestral Lines of Birkle's (German spelling Birkel) and Olenberger's (German spelling Oeleberger) but keep running into brick walls. My Great Grandfather Daniel Birkle/Birkel married Marie Dorothy Olenberger/Oelenberger in Russia and started a family and were among the Germans that left Russia during the great exitus. Daniel and Marie left Alexanderfeld, Russia with their children (Marie, Daniel, Johannas, and my Grandmother Olanda "Lillie") and went to Hamburg, Germany and boarded The Pretoria on 1 Nov 1898 to come to the U.S. Daniel Birkle's parents names were: Daniel Birkle/Birkel and Elizabeth Steinboka. Marie Dorothy Olenberger's parents were: Jacob "Jake" Olenberger/Oelenberger and Catha (maiden name unknown). and her Grandmother's was Dorothe Olenberger/Oelenberger (maiden name unknown). I don't know how many generations of each line lived in Russia but they both lived in Germany prior. I don't know if it was Daniel's and Marie's 3 x's or 4 x's great Grandparents that made the move from Germany to Russia. The story I've been told is that Katherine the Great offered land to those that would leave Germany & go to Russia and teach them how to cultivate the land. Don't know how much of this is true...but both the Birkle/Birkel's & Olenberger/Oelenberger's were of those that did take the opportunity and went to Russia. If anyone knows how I might be able to break down these brick walls I keep running into & find information on my Ancestors I'd GREATLY appreciate the information, I LONG to know of them and about them and their history. Or if anyone just might have any connection to these families and might have information they'd be willing to share that too would be GREATLY appreiated. Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Regards, Stan B.

    3. My research interests are mostly in kutchurgan area of russia. I'm currently trying to locate records in the french archives relating to my ancestors that immigrated to russia from 1800- abt 1830. I have been researching for about 15 years off and on in the Dakota's, Canada, and russia. far as brick walls, most of mine are because of missing records. If anyone has any info on families in russia from 1880's in a place currently called Parcani, Moldova (about 111 km NW of Odessa and 11 km West of Tiraspol) I would be very interested. Also interested in Neu Strassburg, Russia info from same time.
