Both the Bach/Backs and the Tapps land was located in The Little Fork area even though the Bachs lived in present day Madison Co and the Tapps lived in modern Culpeper Co. The Bachs actually lived very close to the Tapps, depending on which map of The Little Fork you look at, the older ones show the location of Harman Back's land. Jacob Holtzclaws land was located next to the Tapps and Holtzclaw deeded 100 acres of it to Harman Back in 1748. His mother, Mary JETT Tapp (widow of Vincent Tapp) moved there no later than 1803. Again, we are looking for a FISHBACK possibility here. The 1902 letter cold well have "messed up" her family name. Moses Tapp and Mary -----, were married around 1784 in Culpeper County (no marriage bond survives).
