Frances Newbold Noyes (1890-1943) was the author of The Bellamy Trial (winner of the Pulitzer Prize, 1927). A silent film of the same name was made in 1929 based on her murder mystery. Does anyone know what became of her children? Her ancestry is posted at: http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=PED&db=marcwheat&id=I27529 The Library of Congress film preservation facility in Culpeper has a wonderful theater, and classic films are regularly shown. If we can locate a copy of the Bellamy Trial, perhaps the Library of Congress could show it Thursday night during the weekend of the Germanna Reunion in 2009.
