I'm so glad that you had the opportunity to visit the Germanna Foundation's Library and Visitors Center!! We're really trying to make it accessibile to all. The parents of Elisabeth "Ailsey" Katrina Otterbach, the wife of John Kemper, are Herman Otterbach and Elizabeth Heimbach. Elisabeth's birthdate is 16 Apr 1697, taken from the church books at Siegen by BC Holtzclaw. Herman and Elizabeth Otterbach traveled to Virginia with their daughters, but died soon after arriving as they don't appear on any of the records for Naturalization, or anything else. I'm a descendant of another of their daughters, Anna Margreth Otterbach, the wife of Jacob Holtzclaw. They, too, emigrated in 1714. The home of the Otterbachs is still standing, and lived in, in Trupbach! This is the home of all of the girls born to Herman and Elizabeth. I'm glad to share any information with you! Hello Barbara, I am a descendent of John Kemper's half sister, Anna Juliana Kemper who married Johan Heinrich Brombach.
