I recently had the privilege of visiting the Visitor Center at the Germanna Community College. While there, I noticed a picture in a display case in the research room. It was actually the only picture in the case. The picture was a composite of a grey-bearded man and a woman above a group photo of 4 dark-bearded men surrounding a white-haired lady, posed in what appears to be a parlor. I am told the picture may have been previously housed in Thomas Faircloth's office. As it happens, I am a direct descendent of people in this photo and would like to find out who donated it to the foundation. I have a copy of the same photo in my possession that I received from my father's estate. The woman in the lower photo has been the subject of many family debates and I know of no one left who can definitively identify her. The man in the top photo is William Lambert Yager, son of Simeon, son of Godfrey. The woman is his wife Cynthia Calista Hayes Yager. In the lower photo the men are in clockwise order starting at 10 o'clock Samuel Addison Yager, Simeon Sylvester Yager, John William Yager, and Dr. Enoch James Yeager. The woman is either their sister Rosetta Elizabeth Yager Wylie or their mother Cynthia Calista Hayes Yager. I would appreciate any information anyone could give regarding the donator of this picture. I would like to correspond with this cousin. Thank you in advance.
