Certainly Not! I remember Flaming on the "Backbone", which was what we had before the Internet. National flame, what a party! <g> -----Original Message----- From: germanna_colonies-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:germanna_colonies-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Craig Kilby Sent: Thursday, December 11, 2008 6:28 PM To: germanna_colonies@rootsweb.com Subject: [GERMANNA] Flames of Yesteryear "Flaming" is nothing new to the internet. This comes from Lancaster County Virginia Court Order Book 16, dated 20 June 1782: "Eleazar Robinson being dead and buried it is ordered he be not only struck off the Commissioner's List of Taxes but Erased out of the memory of Man, as having been a poor, inoffensive being and a useless member of Society. He would fall asleep while on duty of a jury." The index to this court order book simply states, "Eleazar Robinson exempt from taxes."
