Eve married Nicholas Holt. She was the daughter of Michael Willheit and he was the son of Michael Holt (Hans Michael Hold). Michael Holt arrived with the 1717 group and Michael Willheit arrived within two or three years. John Holt, a son of Eve and Nicholas Holt, married a Frances Jackson, apparently in Orange County, NC. In the reconstructed 1790 census for Orange County, NC, a Colby Jackson is living next-door to these Holts. A descendant of Colby Jackson and a descendant of Churchwell Jackson, Sr., were matched by DNA tests. Churchwell Jackson was reportedly born in 1758 in Orange County, VA which, I think, included present day Madison County, VA. Determining the ancestry of Frances Jackson Holt and Colby Jackson, as well as Churchwell Jackson, Sr., is the problem.
