Hi Janice, I'm working on the Germanna Yager/Yeager family right now. Unfortunately I don't have anything on your George W. The only George W. I have in my database that is about the same age (born c1807) was born in Laurens District, South Carolina and died in Bibb County, Alabama. Good luck! Guess what - My great-grandfather was George Walter Yager, born in 1837, great-grandson of Michael Yager.(son of Adam, of Nicholas). This Yager line developed in Page County, Virginia, across the mountain from Madison County, Virginia, sometime in the early 1800's. My grandfather was George Robert Yager, and my father was Paul Robert Yager.
