I am researching the John Brent history in Fairfield Co., SC and trying to trace the family back to Va. Is there anyone on this list with any information on the Brent's in this area of Va.? I would appreciate any help. So far we have been unable to prove parents for John Brent, born 1755 and serving in the Revolutionary War in SC., later moving his family to Ms. This John Brent married Ann Nancy Neely in SC. Jane

I found the Brent family in Stafford County, Virginia in the late 1600s, as I was researching my Judd family line. The families came from Maryland and all indications are the early Brent family was Catholic.
