Perhaps this message is for someone else. I don't think that I have posted anything on Ancestry...at least not within the last 5 yrs or so. I have subscribed to Germanna Colonies list...not sure how that connects to Reunion.com or to Ancestry. If anyone has information as to a birth record for Jemima Cook/Koch that would be great. I believe without too much doubt that she is the daughter of Peter Cook/Koch and Mary Susannah Carpenter. She was born abt 1797/98 . The family lived in Culpepper/ Madison Co. and spent some time in Monroe Co. before moving to Kanawha Co. VA where she married Jesse Paul in 1824. Most of the family has been well documented in posted research that I have seen. I don't understand why she would have been overlooked if other children were listed in birth records for above mentioned co.s. I have even considered that her other name, middle or first, was Juliana, but that is only guessing doesn't count for documentation. ED & ALL, I got this same msg on another list from a Don Boyd, well actually the whole Price list got it. I don't think they are real and in fact I think Rootsweb aka Ancestry needs to keep their ducks in a row. We are restricted as those who sign up to be on the lists to NOT talk about politics, religion today, etc...These same people whether meaning to or NOT signed the same agreement as per TOS, even if they didn't use their real name.
