    1. [GERMANNA] Mary Fishback, m. Moses Tapp?

    3. Hello all, I've run into a research problem and hoping one of you Fishback researchers can help me out. I'm researching a Moses Tapp, b. ca 1767 in Culpeper, and moved to Spartanburg County, SC in 1804. He was the son of Vincent Tapp (d. 1791) and Mary Jett. His grandfather, William Tapp (also d. 1791) patented several tracts of land, most of which were adjacent to Frederick Fishback in 1755. A great-grandson, in an interview, revealed much family knowledge, albeit all from stories he had heard. He states that his great grandparents were Moses Tapp and Mary Bach. That part is true, with the exception of the last name for Mary, which is I am trying to establish. I've checked Hotsclaw's *Nassau-Siegen Immigrants to Virginia 1714-1750" and while he includes a small section on the Tapp family (mostly correct, some in error), and he does mention Moses Tapp and also that he went to Spartanburg County, NC, he is silent on the issue of his wife's name. So, Fishbach researchers, is there a Missing Mary in the line who married Moses Tapp? Moses Tapp moved to Spartanburg District, South Carolina in 1804. Much obliged, Craig Kilby
